Many of our blankets feature a unique QR code attached to the product. By scanning it, you can enjoy beautiful music and watch a short film inspired by Norwegian nature, heritage, and traditions.This creates a unique experience and adds an extra dimension to the product – a value that sets Vingtor of Norway apart from ordinary blankets.

The artist

Contemporary art by Roar Ydse

Roar Ydse (1915–1996) was a Norwegian artist whose legacy continues to inspire the identity of Vingtor of Norway.

His work reflects a deep appreciation for Norwegian history, mythology, and craftsmanship, values that remain central to Vingtor of Norway today.

The Vingtor of Norway logo, originally drawn by the Norwegian artist Roar Ydse,
depicts Odin’s two ravens, Hugin and Munin. In Norse mythology, their names mean “Thought” and “Memory.” The logo symbolizes wisdom, heritage, curiosity, and the preservation of knowledge—values that are deeply rooted in the Vingtor of Norway brand.

For three generations, Vingtor of Norway has stayed true to the same values: quality, trust, and products made to last. We are proud to carry these traditions forward and pass them to future generations.

A symbol of precious memories

Every Vingtor wool product begins its journey in Norway. We source our wool from Fatland Wool near Stavanger and follow the whole process — from shearing and sorting to weaving, finishing, and delivery.

We work with Fatland Wool near Stavanger, tracing every fleece from the sheep farms through every stage of production.

Through our registered trademark Norwegian Wool®, we offer products with a documented Norwegian origin and a story you can trust.

The wool is carefully sorted, processed, spun, and woven, following a process built on traceability and Norwegian heritage.

We continuously work to reduce waste and improve sustainability. Our ambition is to achieve zero-waste production and make the most of every natural resource.
